Luis Collado

Head of Google Books and Google News for Spain and Portugal.

Luis Collado has a degree in Economic and Business Sciences from the Madrid Autonomous University and a Master degree in Marketing and is the head of Google Books and Google News in Spain and Portugal. He has more than 10 years experience in the financial sector and marketing consultancy, and more than 9 working in different positions in the world of publishing. Luis worked in the publishing industry for Pearson Education where he was General Director of the University and Professional Division and was later designated Promotion and Marketing Director for McGraw-Hill Spain, before joining Google.

Without losing his passion for the world of books, Luis has in Google the aim of putting all types of Spanish publications on the Internet, to give them maximum visibility in this medium given the importance of culture and books in our country. His work will be focused on cooperating with publishers, librarians and universities, entities, organizations and institutions which he will support in their access to new technologies within both his internal and external working processes.
