Suh Young Suhk
Executive director of the International Cooperation Center for ICT in Education, Korea Education & Research Information Service (KERIS).
Dr. Suh is executive director of the International Cooperation Center for ICT in Education, Korea Education & Research Information Service (KERIS).
He is responsible for ICT in education policy studies, international cooperative projects, ICT in education standardization, and global consultancy for ICT in education. He is an expert advisor to the JTC1/SC36 (Information Technology for Learning, Education and Training), life-long learning policy for the Ministry of Education, and advisor to the National School Administrators Commission.
He joined KERIS in 1999 and has headed several departments, including the EDUNET (Education Information System) Team and Standardization Team within the Information Service Center, as well as executive director for the Policy and Planning Division. Before joining KERIS in 1999, Dr. Suh held a variety of senior research positions with the Korea Educational Development Institute (KEDI) and Ministry of Education. He served as a research fellow of the Ministry of Education for national text book development and a director of the Contents Certification Department for the Distance Learning Center. Dr. Suh graduated from United States International University with a master's degree in Computer Education and earned his Ph.D. from Hanyang University in Educational Technology.
